Izzie has been fighting her daytime naps. I guess she thinks playing and chilling with her mommy is a lot more fun than sleeping. We have gone into a routine of rocking her, soothing her to sleep. Sometimes she'll let us put her down, sometimes she won't. Anyway, my nanny decided to put her against blankets and have her hug a pillow while she was sleeping - super fake-out, tricking her into thinking that we're still holding her. And it worked! Al said she looks like me when I was pregnant - I always slept hugging a body pillow with my legs wrapped around.
Sidenote: I've had people give me advice about how I should put my kid to sleep. Izzie has been good to us, that we haven't really done any sleep training and don't really plan to in the near future. Lucky, huh? Anyway, I've had numerous people tell me how she shouldn't get into the habit being rocked to sleep. Well... maybe so, but honestly, one day she's NOT going to want to be held by us, so I figured I'd take advantage of it now and soak it all up while I can. Seriously, its the best feeling in the world when your kid feels soothed and comforted enough to fall asleep in your arms.

she's so cute...
good idea with bolstering her with the body pillow.
we've started to lay porkchop on his side too...however, its because he favors one side over the other and his soft noggin is starting to get lopsided. ahh..motherhood!
Dear, rock her to sleep now -- because, yes, you are right! One day she will grow up -- thats when no more hugging~ and even if you want to hug her for that long, it'd be much harder for you!

Btw, I also want to add...
Yes, hugging baby to sleep is the most wonderful thing in the world...
I miss that, too. :)
