This was actually Al's first time to Hawaii, and I told him that we HAD to go to a luau. Its the rite of passage for every tourist that goes to Hawaii for the first time. When I told people before we left for our trip that we were going to go to a luau, they just rolled their eyes. I'm never a fan of the big buffets and gazillions of people at a luau, but who doesn't like a little hula dancing? I did some research, and booked some tickets to The Feast at Lele. And boy was I glad - it was amazing! First of all, this luau is a sit-down 5 course meal.. so its very relaxing, and you don't have to fight with other people over the food. It was fairly intimate, and the show was just really well thought out and amazing. If any of you decide to go to Maui in the future and you want to go to a luau - then go to The Feast at Lele!
We decided to double date with my grandparents. Look at what a good sport my grandpa is for letting my grandma stick a flower in his hair:
Me and Al, no baby!
The amazing background/scenery:
I had to try on my grandma's sunnies:
I was totally digging the costumes:
It was a great night.
