Snorkel, snorkel! And going to go meet the Others!

The #1 activity that Al wanted to do in Maui was snorkeling. I was a bit excited for our trip, but I have to admit, I was nervous also. There is something about an open body of water that makes me anxious. I'm glad I got over it, because I think this snorkeling trip was my favorite thing that we did. Of course, my family offered to watch Izzie, and Al and I were off.

We took a boat to Lanai. It was beautiful - I kept telling Al how I felt like we were on our way to go fight the Others:


And the most amazing thing that I've ever seen - wild dolphins:

I was completely mesmerized by the animals - I wanted to jump in the ocean (despite my fear of open bodies of water) and pretend I was Sandy or Bud from Flipper.

Of course after the dolphins, it was time for snorkeling. I wish I could post some pictures that we got while we were in the ocean - we saw sea turtles (big ones), reef sharks and many many other things. We did buy one of those underwater disposable cameras, but I honestly doubt the quality of those pictures. How in the world are you supposed to look through the camera and shoot properly through all that snorkeling gear?
