My daughter, the genius!

So, I go back to work in about 5 weeks. And Izzie is still struggling to take the bottle. I am very flattered that she prefers her milk fresh straight from the source - but its alarming that she wont' take the bottle! I've been very stubborn about not changing bottles because: 1. I love the playtex drop-ins (very convenient) and 2. the girl used to drink like a champ from those very same bottles. I finally gave in and bought some other bottles, and we'll have intense bottle-training boot camp for the next month. Anyway, here is Izzie and Al chilling after yet another failed attempt at the bottle (thanks, Jen, for the super cute bib!):



Anyway...I think Izzie is a genius! She has really started to love sitting in her bouncy chair and look at the toys. Once, I caught her "talking" to the monkey - I tried to get it on video, but no such luck. Anyway, I was trying to teach Izzie how hitting the toy makes the music sound and the lights light up. Soon enough, my 9.5 week old daughter got it - she started batting at the toys! Her hand-eye coordination still leaves a lot to be desired - but how smart is she!





Sidenote: Doesn't her face look chunkier and her hair look balder than before? Hehe....
