So, Izzie has become quite the fuss-muffin at night these days. A lot of times I think its because she is overtired, even though Al and I try our best to put her down before she gets to that state. She'll fuss while eating, burping, if we sit down... etc. Its still not that bad because she does it for a little while (maybe an hour) before she'll go down for the night. But, it is the toughest time for me and Al, because we're so dead tired by then, so our patience level just isn't that high during that time.
When Izzie was first born, she slept all the time, and she was generally really happy. In fact, you'll remember that, we had trouble waking her up to feed. She would go down anywhere, and she rarely needed any soothing - she seemed like such a chill baby. Al's mom was in town to help us out for the first couple weeks, so of course Izzie has this glowing reputation with her grandma. =] So at nights, whenever Izzie is throwing her own little hissy fit, I half-jokingly say "Al, go call your mom, right now. Go. Do it. Tell her that Izzie is being difficult, and she's NOT a good baby ANYMORE!" Haha, and then the moment passes, we all go to sleep, and the next morning our little girl is cooing and smiling and gurgling and all is well with the world again.
