We spent the last 3 days moving and packing all whilst trying to maintain some kind of schedule for Izzie. Today, Albert and I walked through our old apartment for the last time, and I started to feel a wave of nostalgia come over me. This was the first home Albert and I lived in as newlyweds. We learned how to really cook our own meals, we invited many people over, and we even became Hotel Alphie for a little while. Of course, this was also the first home that Izzie has ever lived in. We survived the newborn phase with her, and we really learned how to be a family.
Anyway, now we're on to (slightly) bigger and better things, but here is one last family photo in our now "old" place.

We moved out of our first (smaller) apt when J was just a little older than I is. We went through all the same feelings. Honestly, towards the end, we kind of hated that tiny, cluttered place but as we were leaving it I couldn't help but feel a little sad at leaving all those memories behind! But now we're so much happier in our nicer, bigger apartment! Yay! I can't wait to hear about all the exciting memories you'll make in your new apt!
Had a great time in Hotel Alphie version 1 and can't wait to visit you guys in version 2!!
Congratulations and good luck! We moved into our house when Carter was ~8-9 months old. Definitely a challenge to move with a mobile baby! We've been here a year now, and still have so much to do!
memories of the old apartment... i must have stayed there over 3-4 times.
